With many programs, you have to count calories, or count carbs, or maintain a brutal exercise regimen.  It’s rarely easy, but if it were easy, perhaps more people would make the effort to lose weight.

The 14 Day Rapid Soup Diet is just such a plan.  The author, who goes by the name of Josh, says you can lose up to 14 pounds in 14 days on his system, and it’s easy to use.

  • You just shop, prepare your meals, and eat

That sounded interesting, so I thought I’d take a closer look and see what the program is all about.  Is 14 Day Rapid Soup Diet a scam, or can it really help?

The Quick Start Guide was surprisingly quick at a mere 3 pages.  On the other hand, it pretty much tells you what you need to know, and as the main book pretty much all consists of recipes, the Quick Start Guide might as well be the main book.

With the exception of the Smoothies Book, the bonus books are all variations of the same thing – a series of soup recipes, though each book has a different stated purpose.

The Keto Soup Cookbook offers recipes that are geared towards those who want to follow the low-carb Keto fad, while the Immunity Boosting Soup Cookbook offers recipes that the author claims will help boost your immune system.

The Weekend Soup Detox book may be the most useful, as it offers a few pages that will allow you to “test” the diet for just a weekend to see if you like it.  It offers recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and then suggests that you repeat those exact recipes for the following day or two.

Admittedly, the Weekend book is simple and offers a diet that would get tiresome rather quickly, as it offers only one day’s worth of recipes, but it will give you an opportunity to see if you like the program.

Main Product

The main product in the 14 Day Rapid Soup Diet is the Meal Plan book.    The “plan” is a relatively simple one, and takes up only four pages in the 28 page book.

The author will tell you what’s expected of you, what’s allowed in the way of beverages, and offers a few other guidelines that will make the program easier to follow.

There’s not much to it, really.  You’ll eat three meals a day – breakfast, lunch, and dinner.   You don’t get snacks.  You’ll need to restrict your beverages to a rather limited number of choices.

On the other hand, and this was a big surprise, you will not be eating soup all the time.

You’d think, with a name like 14 Day Rapid Soup Diet that you’d be eating soup around the clock, but that is not the case.  In fact, you’ll only be eating soup at dinner.

The recipes are not all labeled “Keto,” but they do pretty much follow a Keto diet – you won’t find much in the way of carbs in this weight loss system.   It’s mostly veggies and protein, with a healthy does of fat.

For breakfast and lunch, you’ll be eating real, actual, solid food.  For dinner, you will be eating soup, but most of the soups are pretty hardy.  You won’t be just drinking broth; there’s some real substance in most of the soup recipes.

The breakfast recipes include such things as:

  • Egg and Cheese Waffles
  • Veggie Breakfast Casserole
  • Low-carb granola with Greek Yogurt and Berries

Lunches include such things as:

  • Giant Cobb Salad
  • Avocado Burger
  • Keto Turkey Plate

Dinners, of course, are soups, but they look pretty tasty and also appear to be pretty filling.

Examples of some soups in the Meal Plan book are:

  • Italian Beefy Tomato Soup
  • Cream of Cauliflower with Turmeric and Pepitas Soup

14 day rapid soup diet scamWhile there are only a handful of soup recipes in the Meal Plan book (most of the book is devoted to breakfast and lunch) there are dozens of soup recipes in the bonus books, and any of them can be substituted for the recipes in the meal plan book.

The recipes are all easy to follow, with an ingredient list, a color photograph, easy to follow directions, and some guidelines regarding cooking and prep time.

Unlike many recipe books I’ve reviewed in the weight loss niche, these recipes use Imperial measurements and do not use metric ones.

All in all, the plan looks like a simple one – find recipes you like, buy the ingredients you need, prepare them, and eat!

You’re given some simple instructions, some easy-to-prepare recipes, and you’re off to losing weight.  I’d have liked to see some exercise included, and a few more recipes for breakfast and lunch, but on the whole the program looks like one that most anyone can use.
