You might lose it in your thighs but not in your buttocks, or you might lose it in your buttocks but still have belly fat, and that’s true even if you work out.

Janet Hradil says that her Trouble Spot Nutrition program has the solution for that, and that the problem is your hormones. She says that her program will show you how to figure out which hormones are not properly balanced and then her program will give you a tailored diet program to help you target the specific areas that need work. That sounds promising, if a bit far-fetched, so I thought I’d check it out and see what the program is about. Is Trouble Spot Nutrition a scam?

Trouble Spot Nutrition Overview

Trouble Spot Nutrition is sold as a set of downloadable ebooks in PDF format. These books can be downloaded immediately after purchase, so you won’t have to wait for the mailman to deliver them. You can read them on any computer, tablet or smartphone.

When you purchase Trouble Spot Nutrition, you’ll receive the following books:

The Trouble Spot Activation exercise manual is a 13 page book that describes the exercise program involved in the program. All of the exercises can be done at home and require little in the way of special equipment. The exercises are well described and accompanied by color photos, so they’ll be easy to learn and understand.

The Managing Testosterone manual is a 25 page book that’s very similar to the Managing Estrogen manual. It has a special 14 day meal plan for those who have a testosterone imbalance.

The Managing Thyroid manual is a 24 page book, that, like the two above, offers a 14 day meal plan for those with a thyroid imbalance.

The main Trouble Spot Nutrition book is a 65 page book that explains the author’s theories of hormonal imbalance as it pertains to body fat. According to the author, having certain hormones out of balance can cause you to accumulate fat in specific places, and by changing your diet (and exercising,) you can eliminate that fat. All you have to do is check the charts in the book, see where you have fat, read to see which hormones are out of whack, and choose the appropriate diet to fix the problem. And exercise, of course.

The three part key to the Trouble Spot Nutrition is as follows:

  • Part I – The cleanse to suppress a hormone called HSD. This is done using a multi-day cleanse.
  • Part II – Determine which of your hormones are not in balance
  • Part III – Pick your diet to activate your hormones

trouble spot nutrition scamDon’t worry about the “cleanse” in Part I of the Trouble Spot Nutrition program; you’re not going to be drinking weird teas or other beverages or living off of smoothies. This cleanse, which lasts a few days, consists of real foods that are tailored to help suppress this HSD hormone. After a few days of that, you can move on to the other parts of the diet.

The Trouble Spot Nutrition diet itself, while tailored to specific hormonal needs, has a lot of details in common with other diets I’ve reviewed. You’ll be avoiding sugars, processed foods, and dairy. You’ll be drinking lots of water and eating a lot of fruits and vegetables.

This is good general diet advice that anyone would do well to follow. As for the hormone-specific plans, they’re detailed nicely, and you’ll find a complete list of meals for 14 days that includes breakfast, a mid-morning snack, lunch, a mid-afternoon snack, and dinner.

You’ll eat such things as Salmon with Asparagus, Brilliant Cabbage Rolls with Asian Sauce, and Chicken Marsala Forestiere.

Each meal plan includes a list of ingredients and a recipe, so you’ll be able to create these meals without too much difficulty. As far as I could tell, none of the recipes included any unusual ingredients, so you’ll probably already have much of what you need in your kitchen already.

If there’s a downside to these meal plans, it’s that there weren’t any photos in the books. People like photos when they’re preparing meals and it might help make people more likely to adopt this plan, as most people who buy diet books don’t actually use them.

The key, of course, is the added exercise book. If you eat right and exercise, you will lose weight. That’s how it’s done. So don’t think that you’re going to pick your diet, eat what it tells you to eat for 14 days, and have 6 pack abs like the people shown on the sales page for the Trouble Spot Nutrition program. It doesn’t work that way.

On the other hand, if you follow the book, eat the recommended diet in the proper proportions, and exercise regularly, you may very well see some good results from the Trouble Spot Nutrition program.

No, it’s a well-written book that offers some good dietary and exercise advice, and if you do what it says, you’ll probably lose weight. I’m a bit skeptical regarding whether hormones are affecting specific body areas, but as I said, if you do what the books say, you’ll probably see good results just the same. The diet is easy to follow, the recipes are easy to prepare, and the meals look to be tasty. Plus, the entire Trouble Spot Nutrition program is affordably priced.

Trouble Spot Nutrition is recommended.
