Chad Howse says his program called The Man Diet will allow men to restore their testosterone levels naturally by selectively taking certain dietary supplements and by adopting his special diet plan. I’m an aging male, so The Man Diet sounded interesting to me. I thought I’d check it out and take a closer look and see if the program is worthwhile. Is The Man Diet a scam?

That’s a lot of reading. I’m not sure why there are so many books, but you’ll likely have trouble keeping track of them.

the man diet scamThe main premise of The Man Diet is that our diet has changed over the years in such a way as to lower testosterone levels across the board. Men have less testosterone than they did in years past, and Chad Howse, the creator of The Man Diet says that our diet is to blame.

He says that he can fix this, of course, and all you have to do is to follow the dietary guidelines in the course. In some ways, The Man Diet isn’t all that different from other diets. One such example is that you’ll be avoiding anything man-made in your diet, such as processed foods of any kind. You’ll be asked to limit alcohol and sugar intake.

What’s OK in The Man Diet is meat, provided that it’s natural. You’ll find this in the form of grass-fed beef, wild caught fish and free range chicken. Some dairy is OK, and pork is OK, too, provided that you’re not consuming processed products. Fruits and vegetables are OK, too, and you’re pretty much free to eat as many of either as you’d like. You’ll also be encouraged to drink lots of water and even caffeinated drinks, such as coffee or tea.

You’ll also be encouraged to workout, and the 71 page workout book that’s included will offer a lot of exercise routines. That book is the only one included with The Man Diet that appears to have not been written especially for this program. Still, exercise is exercise, and Chad recommends that you get plenty of it.

the man diet programWhen you workout is more important than how, as how you eat in The Man Diet is determined, in part, by when you work out. Chad says that the most important meal of your day is the one you eat immediately after your workout, so your meal plan will be based upon the timing of your regular exercise.

Meals are loosely defined; you can choose what you want, based on certain restrictions. For a given meal, you might be told that it must consist of “Protein+Fat” or “Protein+Carbs,” for example. Fats and carbs are never consumed at the same meal.

Meals can consist of solid food, or you can go with one of the many shake recipes included in the bonus book. There is also a decent cookbook that has recipes for foods that fit the “Protein+Fat” or “Protein+Carbs” criteria above.

The Supplement book is largely there to persuade you to purchase dietary supplements, and The Man Diet recommends quite a number of those.

The bottom line on The Man Diet is that you’ll cut back on certain foods and eat others in particular combinations at certain times of day while exercising regularly and drinking lots of water. You won’t find a whole lot of restrictions on what you can eat, so if you’re one of those people who doesn’t want to give up on a lot of things you like to eat, then this program may be a good choice for you.

The book is well written, and if you follow the plan and exercise regularly, you may see good results from it.

the man diet- thumbs upIs The Man Diet a scam? I wouldn’t say so, though I can’t say if this diet will increase your testosterone levels or not. The workout book is good, and the diet plan includes some things that are common to most diets, so you’ll likely get some good results if you follow it. The pile of a dozen or so books makes it hard to sort through the program, and when you first download it, you’ll likely feel lost.

Still, the advice inside is solid, the recipes are easy to prepare and don’t require a lot of unusual ingredients and you do get to consume a lot of fat and a lot of meat, which will appeal to the palates of a lot of men. On this diet, you won’t have to stay away from bacon, and that’s always a bonus.

The Man Diet is recommended.
