We all age, and few of us enjoy that. There are lots of problems associated with aging; some affect how we function, and others affect how we look. Women in particular are sensitive to the symptoms of aging, and there are billions of dollars spent every year on products designed to keep women looking young and attractive.
Of course, if you’re a woman on a limited budget, spending a lot of money on expensive anti-aging treatments can put a dent in your wallet. The Beauty of Food, a book by a mysterious author known as Hanan, says that it isn’t really necessary for you to spend lots of money on beauty treatments for your skin and your hair, as there are plenty of “natural” solutions available if you only know how to create or obtain them. That sounded interesting, so I thought I’d take a closer look at the book and see what it’s all about. Is The Beauty of Food a scam?

The Beauty of Food Overview
The Beauty of Food is sold as a downloadable ebook in PDF format, so you may purchase it and download it at any time of day without having to wait for delivery. The book can be read on most any computer device, including tablets and laptops.
The Beauty of Food is a 47 page book written by Hanan, who is said to come from Iran. There is a foreward to the book by Jon Dana Benson the author of The Every Other Day Diet. The foreward says that Benson encountered Hanan and found her to have unusually healthy and youthful skin, and he asked her what her secrets were. The secrets are what led to the publication of the book.
The premise of The Beauty of Food is that there are natural products, available in grocery stores, that can be used to help you stay looking young, and/or to stave off the symptoms of aging.
The Beauty of Food is divided into the following chapters:
- Foreward
- Introduction
- Foods that Improve Your Appearance from the Inside Out
- Skin, Face and Eye Care
- Sun Rays and Your Skin
- Beauty Secrets for Hair Care
According to the book, it was originally written in Arabic, and translated by Hanan. I couldn’t help but wonder why the book would need to be translated from Arabic to English by the author. Why didn’t the author just write it in English in the first place?
That’s a minor quibble and it has nothing to do with the content of The Beauty of Food. The book is well-written, and points out accurately that a healthy diet is an important component of keeping healthy, youthful looks. The first part of the book then offers suggestions for a healthy diet, suggesting certain foods that should be consumed and others which should be avoided. In addition, the importance of drinking lots of water, getting plenty of exercise and getting an appropriate amount of sleep were also mentioned.
The next section of The Beauty of Food covers facial care and the book lists a number of food items that can be either applied to the skin directly, or which can be mixed with other food items to create facial treatments and facial masks. The ingredients are all common ones, and are the sorts of things that you’d likely find in your pantry or refrigerator. These treatments are designed to help keep your pores clean, keep your skin looking youthful, and to keep wrinkles to a minimum.
The next section of The Beauty of Food covers hair care, and offers similar tips for keeping your hair youthful, full and shiny. You’ll find recipes for treatments to help you avoid frizzy hair, treatments for split ends and treatments for dandruff. There’s also a section to help you avoid or minimize hair loss.
As with the skin care treatments, the hair care treatments are simple to prepare and are made from everyday ingredients that you likely already have in your kitchen. They’re all topical, temporary treatments, so it’s not as though you’re going to go out in public with groceries in your hair.
The Beauty of Food is well written, and the instructions are easy to follow. Each of the treatments is accompanied by a short description of why the particular ingredients were chosen and how they can help you keep that youthful look.
While I did not try any of the treatments personally, I didn’t see anything there that looked to be dangerous, and it seems reasonable that there would be naturally available items that can duplicate the effect of commercially manufactured products. I’ll also point out that The Beauty of Food is affordably priced, and is sold with a moneyback guarantee if you’re not satisfied. If you’re a fan of natural methods of doing things, it’s probably a good product for you to check out.
Pros and Cons of The Beauty of Food
Pros
- Affordable book
- Well written book
- No plugs for other products within the book
Cons
- All the photos in the book are stock photos; you won’t see the treatments in use
The Beauty of Food Summary
Is The Beauty of Food a scam? No, it’s a well-written book that offers some legitimate beauty and anti-aging suggestions that will likely help you keep looking young for a bit longer. Some of them are obvious, such as getting more sleep and taking the time to exercise, and others are not, such as the do-it-yourself facial mask and hair treatment recipes. Still, many people will find the book to be an interesting read, and it’s quite possible that these treatments could, indeed, have a beneficial effect in helping you keep that youthful look for just a bit longer while saving money.
The Beauty of Food is also quite affordably priced, making it within the reach of anyone with even a modest budget.
The Beauty of Food is recommended.
