hair loss black book review Hair loss is no fun, and there are few people who would rather be hairless than have a thick, full, head of hair.  But a lot of people lose their hair over time, either due to aging or due to genetics.   Treatment usually consists of expensive over the counter products, expensive surgery, or simply accepting the problem and learning to live with it.

Author Nigel Thomas, creator of the Hair Loss Black Book, says that none of those things are necessary, and that you can have a thick, full head of hair by simply using the methods described in his book, which are easy to do and which don’t require that you buy any expensive products, nor do they require surgery.  That sounded interesting, so I thought I’d check the book out and see if it’s any good.  Is Hair Loss Black Book a scam or is it the real deal?

Hair Loss Black Book Overview

Hair Loss Black Book is sold as a downloadable ebook, which means that you can download it instantly after purchase.  PDF books are portable and can be read on most any computer device, including an iPhone or a tablet.

When you purchase Hair Loss Black Book, you’ll receive the following books:

  • The main Hair Loss Black Book
  • OTC Hair Loss Products: Fact or Fiction?
  • Styling and Hair Loss
  • Stop PCOS

The OTC Hair Loss Book is a 20 page book where the author evaluates over the counter hair restoration products, such as minoxidil.

hair loss black book bonusesThe Styling and Hair Loss book is a 19 page book that looks at myths about how you treat your hair and how it can affect your hair loss.  Many of the things that you think might affect your hair actually do not, and that came as somewhat of a surprise.

The Stop PCOS book is a 25 page book about Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, which can affect hair loss in women. In this book, the author describes treatment options and offers some suggestions of his own.

It’s nice to see that the bonus books are written by the same author as the main Hair Loss Black Book, and that they’re actually relevant to the topic.  Many bonus books are simply public domain or private label rights books that the author includes to add value.  That’s not the case here; these books are actually useful and well-written.

As for the main Hair Loss Black Book, it’s a 156 page book that covers a wide variety of topics relating to hair loss, from the causes, to conventional treatments, to unconventional treatments and more.

Chapters in the book include:

  • Chapter 1: About Hair Loss
  • Chapter 2: Your Hair’s Enemy
  • Chapter 3: Fighting Back Against 5AR & DHT
  • Chapter 4: Fitness After the Cleansing
  • Chapter 5: Men’s Hair Loss Secrets
  • Chapter 6: Women’s Secrets
  • Chapter 7: Nutrition For a Non-DHT Life
  • Chapter 8: A Non-DHT Nutrition Plan
  • Chapter 9: Give Your Follicles A Boost
  • Chapter 10: Final Thoughts

Hair Loss Black Book points out that while there are a number of causes for hair loss in men, the primary one is a condition known as androgenic alopecia.  He says that this condition causes the body to produce enzymes called 5AR and DHT in excessive quantities.  The presence of a small amount of these enzymes is good, but too much of a good thing can lead to hair loss.

The bulk of the Hair Loss Black Book is devoted to providing natural solutions to keeping your levels of 5AR and DHT in check, and the author provides a number of methods for doing this.  Some of them were surprising, as Thomas suggests that both diet and exercise can actually help you in this regard.

hair loss black book scamThe diet suggested seems to be a healthy one, and it involves eating certain kinds of healthy foods while reducing or eliminating other types of foods that may contribute to 5AR and DHT production.  The exercise portion of the program is also intended to help you reduce body fat, as excess body fat can cause the body’s hormone levels to deviate from where they’re supposed to be.

In addition to the diet and exercise regimen, the Hair Loss Black Book also recommends that you buy a certain type of hair brush, that you use certain types of shampoo, and that you treat your hair and scalp to a regular massage and that you massage it with certain astringents, which you can prepare yourself at home.

I can’t speak as to whether the methods in Hair Loss Black Book will grow hair. On the other hand, the Hair Loss Black Book is well written, and the diet and exercise advice within the book appears to be medically and nutritionally sound, based on all of the other books I’ve read in the health and fitness niche.  If you read the book and adapt the diet and exercise program, and also follow the hair-specific treatments in the book, you’ll undoubtedly be healthier for it.

Pros and Cons of Hair Loss Black Book

  • Well-written book
  • Not overly expensive
  • Good bonus books that are relevant

  • Book consists largely of diet advice
  • Program may not work for everyone

Hair Loss Black Book Summary

hair loss black book- mehHair loss can be an unpleasant experience, and no one is excited to see that they are losing their hair.  For many people, the cost of hair transplants or over the counter medicines may be excessive, and few people are excited about wearing a toupee or a wig.  If you’re looking for alternatives to that, the plan outlined in the Hair Loss Black Book may be a welcome alternative.

The book is well-written, and offers an extensive amount of information regarding the hows and the whys of hair loss and also discusses what you can do to avoid making a bad situation worse.  The diet and exercise information is useful and would be beneficial for anyone, and not just those who are interested in minimizing the loss of their hair.  If you’ve tried everything else and you still haven’t found a solution for your hair loss that works for you, then you may wish to give Hair Loss Black Book a try.
