They’re generally considered to be healthy, but Jon Martin, the author of Flat Belly Reboot, says that studies show that your consumption of superfoods may be contributing to you being overweight.

His weight loss program offers what he calls a simple solution to losing weight that won’t require cleanses, detoxes, tons of exercise or a steady diet of foods you hate.

That sounded interesting, so I thought I’d take a closer look and see what the product is all about.  Is Flat Belly Reboot a scam, or can it help you?

The second book, the Checklist and Journal, is something that you can print out and use to keep track of your progress as you lose weight with the program.

I’ll say this for the program – it’s fairly brief, and the Quick Start Guide in the main book takes up only a single page.

The entire program is fairly brief, and you’ll be free to pretty much eat whatever you like within the confines of the allowed foods.

flat belly reboot scamThe list of allowed foods is pretty generous, and the book shows you which fats, proteins, fruits, vegetables, and beverages you are permitted to consume, and which ones are to be avoided.

The avoided lists include some surprises, as Flat Belly Reboot is designed to help you avoid foods known as FODMAPS (
“Fermentable Oligo-, Di-, Mono-saccharides And Polyols”.)

In short, they’re carbohydrates that you should avoid, as many people do not or cannot properly digest them and they can contribute to weight gain.  This weight loss program steers you clear of those and guides you to eat what the author regards as healthier choices in each of the main food groups.

The diet is sort of “keto-ish,” in that it leans more on fats and protein and less on carbohydrates, though it’s not strictly a keto program.

A main component of the Flat Belly Reboot is something that I’ve seen in a lot of weight loss programs – an “eating window,” where you can pretty much eat what you like, but only within a certain range of time each day.

You’ll fast the rest of the time, though most people will spend a good portion of the fasting period sleeping, so you won’t even notice.

The diet also includes a daily “special drink” that you should consume once a day and another “secret recipe” that I’ve seen in a lot of weight loss plans lately.

Outside of the outlines of the plan, you’ll largely be free to eat what you like.  There is no meal plan, so if you’re one of those people who likes to be told exactly what to eat and wants a list of recipes, this is not the plan for you.

You’re free to choose the meals you want and the times you want to eat them, provided that you define your own eating window and respect it.

There’s little mention of exercise in the Flat Belly Reboot program, though there is an occasional mention of it.

I didn’t particularly care for the fact that the supplement book is largely about getting you to buy nutritional supplements by way of the author’s affiliate links.

On the whole, the book is reasonably well written and the program is a melding of several ideas I’ve seen in various other weight loss books, all of which have been shown in studies to help.

If you follow the program as outlined, you’ll likely have some success with it.

The Flat Belly Reboot is surprisingly affordable; as I write, it’s priced at a mere $9, and that includes the main books and the five bonus books.

Be aware that the author does have a number of upsells offered on his site, so if you go to buy, you’ll be offered the opportunity to by upgrades to the main product.
