Everyone would like to have tight abs, instead of a bunch of belly fat. That’s sort of the “holy grail” of getting fit. People notice your abs, and having a “six pack” will really draw attention. But it’s tough doing the work and a lot of people really hate the workouts, including the dreaded situps, that seem to always accompany training programs to help people develop their abs.

Yuri Elkaim has a program called Amazing Abs Solution that he says will show you how to get that tight midsection quickly, using something he calls the “Metabolic Compounding Effect.” I have no idea what that’s about, so I thought I’d take a closer look to see what the Amazing Abs Solution is all about. Is Amazing Abs Solution a scam?

Amazing Abs Solution Overview

The Amazing Abs Solution is sold as a hybrid course containing both video content and tracking sheets and instructions in PDF format. There also some accompanying mp3 files. You can get access to the program immediately after making your purchase.

There’s not a lot of fluff to the Amazing Abs Solution course, it’s almost all video. The course is broken down into three sections:

• Build Phase (4 weeks)
• Sculpt Phase (4 weeks)
• Burn Phase (4 weeks)

Each phase comes with four videos; one for each week. You’ll also receive an mp3 audio file for each week of the course. This audio-only file is a copy of the video, so you can listen to it on portable devices.

Each week is also accompanied by a short (3 pages or so) PDF file that gives you a brief listing of the exercises that you’ll be doing that week, along with a few photos that show you Yuri doing the exercises. These aren’t manuals, and you won’t even get an explanation for the exercises themselves. All you get is a list of the exercise names, the number of reps you should do that week and the amount of time you should be doing them. You can either do the required number of reps or the maximum amount of time specified; the choice is yours.

There are also four bonus workouts:

• Kettlebell Core Workout
• Belly Fat Burn Workout
• Ab Annihilator Workout
• Afterburn Workouts (audio only)

These are like the main Amazing Abs Solution workouts above, and with the exception of the Afterburn Workouts,each comes with both video and mp3 audio and a companion PDF file to show you how many reps of each workout you should be doing.

There’s also an introduction video where Yuri explains how the Amazing Abs Solution program works to tighten your abdominal muscles. That video is online and runs about 6 minutes. There is also a 12 week workout calendar that you can download; this is a 6 page PDF that shows you which workout you’ll be doing every day for the full 12 weeks of the Amazing Abs Solution course.

While the Amazing Abs Solution introductory video is viewable online, the actual workout videos are not. They are in m4v format, and they are zipped to reduce their size, as each file is more than 300 MB in size. I can’t recommend that you buy the Amazing Abs Solution program unless you have a good Internet connection, as the total size of all the downloads is something in the 5 GB range. Of course, you don’t have to download it all at once; you can download the parts of the program you need when you need them over the course of the 12 weeks.

As for the Amazing Abs Solution videos themselves, they are of high quality, as you might expect, given their large file size. Each video contains a complete workout, running about 30 minutes or so. They have all been shot outdoors, and the lighting is good and the audio quality is also good. Many workout videos suffer from poor quality sound, as they’re often filmed indoors in rooms with lots of hard surfaces.

Yuri walks you through each of the workouts, explaining what to do and how to do it, and then he basically takes you through the entire program, doing the requisite number of reps himself while narrating.

It’s nice to see that you won’t need much in the way of extra equipment to do these exercises, either. You will need some sort of floor mat, and a chair, as well as a stability ball, which you can buy at a number of places, including Amazon. I’m not overly familiar with stability balls, but I see that you can buy them there for prices ranging from $10-$40, so they’re fairly affordable, assuming that you don’t have one already.

The workouts appear to focus on the abs, and they do look to be intense, though not overly difficult. I suspect that if you follow Yuri’s Amazing Abs Solution program to the end, and do it exactly as he says, you’ll likely see some pretty good results and some greatly improved abs when you’re done. All in all, Amazing Abs Solution is a pretty good program.

Amazing Abs Solution Summary

Is Amazing Abs Solution a scam? Not at all. Yuri Elkaim has put together a solid training program consisting entirely of high quality video where he walks you through the workouts himself. I’ve reviewed fitness products where the videos were as short as 15 seconds – they show you one rep of an exercise and expect you to do the rest yourself. That’s not the case here, and Yuri shows you how it’s done and shows you that it’s actually something you can do. You will need to buy a stability ball and you’ll have to commit to 12 weeks of workouts, but that’s it. If you do what he says, you’ll likely see great results.
